Easter Activities for the Classroom
One of the things I love about teaching is celebrating different holidays with students. It’s so much fun for me to get into the spirit with them, regardless of what the holiday may be. If you’re a 2nd or 3rd grade teacher looking for Easter activities to use in the classroom , you’re in the right place!
In this post, I’ll share with you several of the Easter themed activities that are inside of my 2nd Grade Easter Activities Pack! It’s full of math and reading resources that all work perfect if you want to celebrate Easter in your classroom.
Easter Math Activities
If you haven’t tried color by number sheets with your students, you totally should! I go into more detail in this blogpost here, but basically – it’s a game changer in giving them review of important skills like addition, subtraction or multiplication. The Easter Color by Number shown above gives students tons of multiplication fact practice while they color the cute Easter Bunny!

Adding and subtracting two and then three digit numbers is big in second grade. Students will have several options to practice both, with and without regrouping using these math sheets inside of the 2nd Grade Easter Math and Reading Pack. Have some students still mastering 2-digit and some ready for 3-digit addition and subtraction? You’ll get both 2-digit and 3-digit addition and subtraction sheets as well.
Second graders need a lot of practice with regrouping and these math regrouping riddle sheets make it a lot more fun! Students will solve the equations and then decode the answer to the riddle at the bottom.

This Easter Party Shopping activity puts a fun twist on solving word problems with money. Second graders need a lot of practice solving word problems, so I’ve included even more inside of this Easter Pack! Students will also get practice solving telling time word problems and two step word problems.
Reading Comprehension Easter Activities
I like to review finding text evidence and asking and answering questions all throughout the year in 2nd grade. Inside my Easter No Prep Pack you’ll find two Easter themed passages ( one fiction and one non-fiction ) along with comprehension questions to go with both. These are great if you want to have an Easter themed mini-lesson to refresh your students on going back into the text to find their answers. I also use these for a reading center during the week of Easter.
Students can will get practice completing sentences using the correct punctuation mark with the complete the sentences sheet inside of the No Prep Easter Pack. A nice little reminder for students who may need it on writing sentences correctly.
