Hey Ya’ll! Im Katelyn. I was born and raised in Georgia and currently live about 45 minutes North of Atlanta. I truly LOVE where we live and couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. My husband’s name is Stephen and we have been married for 6 years! Together we have the sweetest little boy, Caleb Hayes, who just turned one! I am a follower of Jesus and without Him I know I am and have nothing.

When I’m not working on resources, you might find me running, going on walks with Stephen and Caleb Hayes or shopping. (These days it’s usually either for groceries or a quick run to Target.) What is it about that place? Ours has a Starbucks so it’s basically heaven.

I try to run at least 4 times a week, but I haven’t always enjoyed it. When my husband and I were dating he said he wanted to be able to run with his wife. I wasn’t going to let anybody else marry him, so I started running. Now it’s one of my favorite things to do.

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Georgia! (Go Dawgs!) After college, I taught Pre-K , 2nd and 3rd grade in both North Carolina and Indiana. (We did a lot of moving our first few years of marriage.)

When I was in the classroom, there was nothing quite like the feeling when my students were deep in a lesson that sparked lightbulbs all over the room. When I saw their faces full of pride because they finally “got it” or learned something new-that was always my why. Not every lesson was that way, but it was so sweet when one was.

I started Lip Gloss, Learning and Lattes after creating several resources for my own students and realizing other teachers and children could benefit from them too!

It was not easy, but I left the classroom when Stephen and I moved back to Georgia in 2019 and found out we were having our son. Now, my time is spent doing all I can to support teachers and students in all the ways I needed supporting when I was teaching.

My goal is to simplify your life as a teacher. I want you to spend your Sunday nights snuggling your babies or doing something that mentally prepares you for the week ahead– where you’ll pour into your students. Not scrambling to put together lessons or activities.

As teachers, we give it our all. Even when that often means we have nothing left for ourselves. I’ll provide you with activities and resources that engage your students, but don’t take your whole Sunday evening to put together.

I can’t wait to get to know you and I hope you’ll reach out if you ever need anything!
